I am particularly looking for a Panasonic Toughbook.

Hello!
I bought a Panasonic SD20 on Friday and made some footage which I’ve only transferred to my laptop today. The first thing I notice is the lines around the edges of everything. I’m presuming this is because it is interlaced? I never thought it would be that bad though… the picture is virtually unwatchable! It’s an AVCHD clip with a .mts extension on the file playing in Windows Media Player.
So… I import the footage into After Effects which sorts out the lines automatically and the footage looks great.
But… when I RAM preview the footage skips (This wasn’t happening when I played the raw file in WMP). It plays normally for a random amount of time and then it skips 10 frames ahead for two frames and then goes back. This is still present when I output the file and I’ve tried about four different file formats to render in.
However, when I play the clip on it’s own in WMP it plays fine… but has the lines.
Is this a compatability issue with After Effects and the movie files? Is it possibly an error with the camcorder or an error with After Effects? etc etc
Any advice you could give would be gratefully recieved!
By the way, I had a Samsung HD camcorder before using the same laptop and software and there were no issues, so I don’t think it has anyhting to do with my setup. The only difference I can think of is that the Panasonic uses AVCHD and the Samsung used mpg4. Thanks.
Thanks iridflare. It was a Samsung HMX20
I have a Panasonic Toughbook CF-51 for work, but I wanted to get a wireless card for it. Which wireless cards would be compatible, and which would be the best? Thanks beforehand.
It does have built in wireless, but I was hoping a wireless card added would make it more stable? I currently use a 2Wire modem, from U-verse AT&T.
I have a Panasonic PV-GS9 MiniDV Camcorder w/20x Optical Zoom 800x digital zoom and I’m having a hard time with trying to upload it to my vista laptop. It didn’t come with any software and I have a USB and when I plug it to my laptop, it just makes the ding noise but no automatic play dialogue. My Windows Movie Maker doesn’t detect it either. A little help? It’s really important… I have to edit my uncle’s funeral tribute… thanks in advance
When i connect it to the PC and turn it on in view mode, it says Connecting To PC. I have left it for 10m a few times but still nothing appears in My Computer! am currently charging the battery to see if it needs abit more juice but I would really like to be able to get my pictures… Any help appreciated! Thanks!
I have a 3CCD Panasonic PV-GS180 digital video camera. It records onto miniDV. The video is crisp and the colors are very vivid on the camera’s LCD screen. However, I tried capturing the video into Adobe Premiere Pro to edit, and the video appears very dull. I’m editing on a Dell Inspiron 700m laptop and using the DV firewire cable to transfer video. Any ideas on why the colors are not as vivid on the computer? The video I am capturing was filmed inside under indoor lighting, but the colors are tremendous on the camera itself. I don’t know why the computer captured image has almost a gray dullness to it. I thought the 3CCD camera would give a much better image. Any ideas on how I could adjust or fix this?
I have a toshiba laptop with a vga output and a panasonic 42” plasma tv. I would like to check my e-mails and surf the net by looking at my big screen Tv; unfortunatelly, the plasma tv does not have any computer inputs on the back. I went to Best buy store and they told me that I should buy a VGA to DVI adaptor and a cable with the DVI in one end and HDMI on the other. Well I bought these 2 items and connect the VGA adaptor to my computer and the HDMI to the back of the tv and I get nothing at all.
Can someone please tell me what I did wrong. I am so dissapointed…
