i was planning on purchasing a new laptop from dell.com soon. there is currently a promotion that gets me 8 off the system. this expires in a day or two. will there be another discount out soon or not?

I am planning to move soon – without all my furniture, including my desktop computer from Dell- but I need a laptop. Money is an issue so I would need one that is cheap but works well. I was not impressed by Dell.

Or if you know of any places, websites, etc. where I could trade in my Dell computer and a get a laptop or discount on one?

I need the computer for basic stuff such as internet, music, etc. but I also need it to keep photos of my art and keep my website updated. Thanks!

I want to start a ebay business. I want to buy designer clothing, (Ambercrombie and other brands) electronics, (computers, Mp3 players. Ipods, Laptops) directly from factorys at bulk at a discount price (like retailers do) and then retail them at my ebay store for retail price.

I mean stores can order IPODs, Clothing, Cds, DVDs computers, playstations and X-boxs from suppliers and then retail them and make profits. So how can I do the same thing?

I want to learn how to do this. Can someone explain this to me?

I dont want to use a PAY company to do this for me I want to do all the ordering and shipping myself.

Okay, so I’m thinking of getting an Apple laptop, except I need somebody to explain it me, why can’t the website say it in Normal English and not not bamboozle me?
I’d need one where I could put memory pens in, discs in, play the sims games (I love those games), probably sims3, chat with people one, upload a masive Itunes library, put my photoshop on unless you get photoshop on it already. I would have a lot of documents and would be using it for school, since I’m going into sixth form, hopefully, it would need to be light. It would need to be fast, so I could keep up in class.
Do they have an intergrated webcam on them?
Can I download MSN to it?
Would it be able to run windows programs on it, in case I can’t work the apple ones, though probably could?
Do they come with a feature like Windows Movie Maker?
This might sound silly but do they come in a range of colours.
I live in the UK, it says on the website that students can get discounts but could I order from my Dad’s account, telling them at checkout that I’m, the person recieving the laptop is a student, does the discount make a huge difference to the price. As in what you get stays the same but the price comes down?
Or would I be better going into an Apple Store?
I’m not good at opening them up and fixing anything so bear that in mind when answering.
Would I have to buy a seperate mouse for it?
I would want to throw it into my current laptop bag so please bear that in mind too. Oh and it would have to be to go wireless.

I have a Dell laptop with Microsoft Windows Vista as the operating system on it and I am a student. I want to get Windows 7 with the student discount for .99. Is there any difference at all between the full priced Windows 7 for like 0 or the student discount Windows 7 for .99? I just want to make sure that the huge discount doesn’t cost me later down the road with something else and that it is worth it.

I know about laptops, etc. I just want to hear some opinions on which laptop is light and able to handle gaming, school, work. I’m thinking of using the HP student discounts but they weigh around 5 lbs. Anything else? Apple MB Air? Light, but powerful? Any brand names would do just fine.
True. There’s a trade-off between powerful and light. Maybe not for gaming but more so for school.

I’m looking for a good laptop. Something with at least a Core 2 duo (preferably i3 or i5), a nice keyboard/trackpad combo, good amount of ports, a nice, 12" to 14" screen, a backlit keyboard (I really want it, but it’s optional), at least 250G hard drive, at least 3G of RAM, good battery life (at least 6-7 hours), and of course a good over-all appearance. This is a lot, but I was looking in the range of 0 to 0. IF any more info is wanted I’ll add, as long as the question is also edited.

I just got a job and started working. What is the best laptop for a 17 year old JR. girl. I would like something that I could take to college next years. Some where in the price range of 600-900 good quality. 10- 12 inch screen. I would like a dell because my mom has a discount with them. Any suggestions would be great. What would the discount be?

I’m planning on repairing my dell. It’s an Inspiron 6000. Point blank, my 1 year old thought she was chun-li and dropped kicked my laptop off the bed n onto the floor. it’s gonna cost about 400 dollars to repair and thats my discount because the screen cracked n they promise to fix all internal n external damage. Now i aint no rich *itch so i wanna know is it worth repairing it or just getting a new laptop. if you think i should get a new laptop. Who has the best company for laptops? Am i already with them? i just don’t know n need your advice n thanks to everyone who takes the time out to answer this
