just bought an HD panasonic and turns out the software that came with it was not available for mac os x.. i need to do the editing on my laptop.. help!?
mmm.. i guess it’s the macbook.. and i got it last year which means i dont have the latest versions of softwares like the ones you mentioned

I bought a new computer and have put it and my old one on a wireless network. Now I’m trouble gaining access to the slave. I’d like to save all the documents from the slave to the master, but I’m not able map a network drive. Am I an idiot or is there some complex computing that needs to take place?

I have been looking at notebooks for the past 6 months or so, and I recently saw something that I never noticed before. I saw that there was an option under the hard drives for a solid state drive. I clicked it to see a description of what it was and it looked awesome. Super speed with no moving parts sounded great! However, do the advantages outweigh the bigger price tag? Can anyone tell me their opinion on a solid state drive rather than a classic hard drive?
I did not say that SS drives are more reliable but I just made that assumption.

I am using firewire port on my laptop to transfer video to pc and then transfer it in a vcd format in a cd. the quality of the picture is very poor in the vcd when i am watching it on tv. i am using the software – motion dv to transfer video. can someòne tell me on how do i transfer a good quality picture in the vcd format

I have one of those refurbished panasonic laptops windows 98, it won’t work on that, but my brother gave me his old hp computer 98, I just wondered if there was a difference getting the computer to accept the printer. He also gave me an old computer, and all i see on it is intel pentium. and i am with no money, so it is a take what you get situation. which one would be the best to use with my new lexmark printer? I would appreciate nice remarks, because some of us out here don’t have any money.

I am thinking about upgrading the 5400 RPM drive in my macbook pro to a SSD. I am just wondering if a SSD with these specs will be faster than my current one.
Sequential Access – Read: 154.1 MB/s
Sequential Access – Write: 90.8 MB/s
I know its definitely not the fastest SSD out there, but I just need something to get me by until they get cheaper. Also, the manufacturer says that this drive will draw 5.0 volts. Is this better than a regular HDD? One of the main reasons i am getting a SSD is for the supposedly improved battery live for laptops. But anyway, thanks for your help.

Are they less likely to fail and are they more drop resistant

I was thinking about this easlier today. And lets say I have a gaming desktop computer at home and I am at my college using their wireless connection.

Could I use remote desktop to connect from my laptop to the desktop and then use it’s tv tuner to watch tv shows off of it and play games using remote desktop.

Also could I also use it to play games on my laptop that my desktop could handle but my laptop normally would not. Sort of like cloud computing, if I am using the term correctly.

just asking as that desktop computer as something I have not built yet.
